Eating Out Brings Smiles to Seniors' Faces Once Again
Slough Senior Citizens Group invited its members to have lunch every Monday for six weeks from 11 August.
This programme was arranged under the Government's Eat Out to Help Out scheme where restaurants subsidised 50 percent of the cost of the lunch.
The group further helped out its members by covering for the other 50 percent. So happy faces all round!
The lunch programme was very much appreciated by all those who attended, especially considering the recent stress of the lockdown.
Between 15 and 20 people came to each lunch, whilst separated on different tables to comply with Government guidance.
One of the restaurants visited regularly was the Swagath restaurant in Slough High Street.
